2009/2010 Winter League - Premier Division Team-by-Team Review
One of the most competitive top flight seasons in years saw the title go down to the final week, with Cannibals dominance of the league being seriously challenged. They emerged victorious in the battle for the league title, but gave up the cup for the first time. The promotion fight in this years First Division wasn't as close as it has been in previous years, but the division was still its usual competitive self. Instead, the dogfight focused at the other end of the table, where several sides battled to avoid the drop. We even saw the very rare sight of a drawn match during the course of the season. This years Division Two season was a tale of two halves and was dominated by a couple of talented sides. There were a couple of drop outs which reduced the number of sides in the division to nine, and there were some problems completing all of the fixtures, but asides from that it was good to see some emerging talent given a chance to cut their teeth in competitive pool.
